As part of Environment Week, UniPiaget of Cape Verde held the second day of activities yesterday, June 4th, featuring various lectures on sustainability and the environment. Professor Dr. Djeniffer Ramos moderated the first two sessions, beginning with Dr. Leidiza Tavares from INSP, who gave a lecture on biosafety, emphasizing the importance of safe practices in handling biological materials and protecting the environment and public health. Following that, Master Ana Veiga, representing the NGO Lantuna, discussed the organization’s volunteer programs, highlighting community engagement opportunities and the positive impact of these initiatives on local environmental actions. The final lecture was moderated by Professor Dr. Dilson Pereira, with Dr. Daniel Xavier sharing information about social projects in the environmental field, illustrating successes and challenges in implementing sustainability initiatives. Environment Week at UniPiaget continues with a diverse agenda, promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among students and the broader community.
